Carbasalate Calcium

This product is a white or almost white powder.

An antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory drug. It is a complex salt of aspirin calcium and urea. After oral administration in pigs and chickens, carbasalate calcium is rapidly absorbed and hydrolyzed to aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), which is also quickly absorbed. Aspirin is primarily metabolized in the liver and rapidly degraded into salicylic acid in the body. The antipyretic and analgesic effects of this product are mainly exerted through aspirin.

An antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory drug used to control fever and pain in pigs and chickens.

Based on this product:

• Oral administration:

  • Pigs: 80 mg per 1 kg body weight, single dose.

  • Chickens: 80–160 mg per 1 kg body weight, single dose.

No adverse reactions have been observed when used as directed.

1. Do not use in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.

2. Do not combine with other salicylate antipyretic or analgesic drugs.

3. Concurrent use with glucocorticoids may exacerbate gastrointestinal bleeding. Combining with alkaline drugs may reduce efficacy.

4. Continuous use should not exceed 5 days.
